Spirulina, like rice, should not be a superfood, but a staple food.
Interview with Tim van Koolwijk from Alga.farm
Tim van Koolwijk started with the idea of doing something good for the world. While graduating from Delft University of Technology in his double master's program in Integrated Product Design and Science Communication, he started taking steps towards his goal. He himself felt something for development aid. A few years later, he is now in a large production area in the basements of BlueCity. Here he produces the nutritious spirulina, a type of algae. You are in a luxurious position if you can do something you like and help people with it,” says van Koolwijk. Making a lot of money has no added value for him. “If you can choose to do something good,” he continues, “I don't really see why not."
