Interview with Mark van Wijk

Mark van Wijk has been an entrepreneur in BlueCity for almost two years and with his special garden designs he makes the connection between people and plants. It took a while for him to get there. In his younger years he was fascinated by frogs and could often be found at the pond in the garden of his parental home. Although he always wanted to become a biologist, he was also creative and decided to opt for that creative direction on the advice of his school. He emerged as a successful graphic designer, but he missed the long-term value of his work. The love for nature that was always there, came to the surface again and living in Melbourne, Australia, Mark decided to combine both of his passions.
