BlueCity is an exemplary city for the circular economy, located in the former tropical swimming paradise Tropicana. It was built in 1988 and closed again almost exactly 22 years later in August 2010. In 2015, BlueCity bought the building to transform the abandoned swimming pool into a circular exemplary city – following the principles of the circular and blue economy. How exactly does that work? We like to let the people who do it tell you.
