The professional jury complimented Sabine for her broad and inclusive approach, always keeping the ultimate goal in mind: accelerating the transition to a circular economy through entrepreneurship. Always keeping the eyes on the real prize. This became all the more apparent when Sabine accepted the award on behalf of BlueCity ánd in the name of entrepreneurship, stating the following:

"It's important that we give circular entrepreneurs a lot more attention and space. A group of people that is sometimes accused of overestimating themselves and underestimating the task ahead, while in fact it's a blood group that is very badly needed in the transition to a circular economy. So by all means: go ahead and just start, start doing something. Sure, you'll see that it's not all perfect yet, but you'll sort that out along the way. Anyone who wants to start doing is welcome in BlueCity."

Meanwhile, the award has found its home at the entrance of our building. Extra fun fact: it's made by Better Future Factory, one of the companies in BlueCity. We also congratulate the circular heroes who were nominated in the other categories, and especially the winners: Buurman, Woodloop and PHA2USE.
